Well what can we say but to congratulate Miss Shamcey Supsup, 2011 Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up. It only shows, Filipinas are beautiful and intelligent women that you can be proud of.
Forget all the other details of the pageant, but Miss Supsup has been one of the most popular candidates among the Miss Universe contestants in Brazil. When she landed among the 15 semi-finalist, I said that is good enough. But I was wrong she was picked up among the top 10 finalists and I told myself, well she must be lucky to be one of them. I did not hope for more. To me being on the top 10 is already a good achievement. but I again I was wrong. She landed on the 5 finalists where she was judged and announced later as 3rd finalists.
Wow, what an achievement. Venus Raj with her “major major” performance last year’s Miss Universe contest landed her to be the 4rth finalist and it’s not even bad considering how tough it is to compete in the Miss Universe beaty pageant. This goes to show that the Filipina is one to be feared of in any beauty pageant around the world. The Filipina is not only beautiful but also a very talented and intelligent one. They speak flawless english (really?) and need no interpreter to express their views and responses on any topic or question asked of them.
To me what is so outstanding on Miss Supsup performance is her brilliant answer to the question if she would change her religion to marry her love one.
And how did this 25-year-old Filipina beauty replied?
“If I had to change my religious beliefs, I would not marry the person that I love because the first person that I love is God who created me and I have my faith and my principles and this is what makes me who I am. And if that person loves me, he should love my God too.”
Miss Supsup finally admitted that he already have a boyfriend, and that he asked the same (as reported) to follow her Christian ways.
Everything was God’s Plan, that is how she described her winning in the contest as the 3rds finalist. Yes, she’s contented to where she landed despite the claim af many of her supporters that she should be on the place of Miss Angola.

Now back in country and met with hero’s welcome the more I have been captivated by this beautiful and talented lady from Gensan.
Between showbiz and practicing her profession, she gives weight still on being an architect.
I wish I could still be younger to compete, but only few are listed in heaven to be called Miss Universe.
Being the third runner up, it is as good as saying “Ikaw ang Miss Universe ng Buhay Ko.”
Beauty queen din naman tayo noon sa college di be Mer? LOL.
